Martin Scorsese, who is up for an Oscar for his "Killers of the Flower Moon," also directed a commercial for Squarespace that will air during the Super Bowl on Sunday.
The ad is a kind of homage to old fashioned sci-fi movies, and makes the salient - though, I think, debatable - point that nothing really matters until it is seen online. Which is sort of an extraordinary point for such an old school classicist to make.
The other irony - the commercial will be seen by more people in one airing on Sunday than I suspect will ever see "Killers of the Flower Moon."
