According to published reports about research conducted by the Taylor Nelson Sofres company, Tesco continues to grow its market share in the UK, up 0.8 percent during the most recent quarter to a 31.4 percent of the UK grocery market.

Wal-Mart’s Asda Group was up 0.9 percent to a 16.8 percent market share.

Sainsbury was up 0.8 percent to a 16.4 percent market share.

William Morrison Supermarkets’ market share was down just a touch, to 11.1 percent.

Meanwhile, more good news for Tesco, as the Readers Digest annual survey rating the UK’s most trusted brands revealed that Tesco is Britain’s most trusted food retailer.
