business news in context, analysis with attitude

Published reports out of the UK suggest that when Price Charles recently commented that one way to solve the obesity crisis was simply to ban the selling of McDonald’s fast food, he may have given British citizens another reason to wonder if the monarchy is out of touch with the real world.

There was considerable public outcry suggesting that the prince had no idea what he was talking about, and McDonald’s responded that the prince did not understand how it has changed its menu in recent years.

And one British newspaper apparently reported that the prince's own line of Duchy Originals Cornish pastries actually contain more fat, salt and calories than a Big Mac.
