• Wal-Mart has conceded that its commitment to solar power is proceeding a little slower than expected. The company put out a request for proposals last year, looking for companies that could facilitate a shift to solar power at many of its stores. But it reportedly is taking longer than expected to evaluate the complex bids, and the company says that its decision will be delayed by up to six weeks until the end of April.
