• Publix Super Markets reported fourth quarter net income of $291.9 million, down one percent from the same period a year ago. Q4 sales were down 3.2 percent to $5.6 billion, while same-store sales were up 2.4 percent for the period.

Publix’s annual net income was up 10.9 percent to $1.1 billion, while its annual sales were up 5.2 percent to $21.7 billion. Year-long same-store sales were up 5.2 percent.

• Nash Finch Co. reported a fourth quarter net loss of $26.4 million, compared with net earnings of $13.5 million a year ago. Q4 sales in the quarter fell to $1.10 billion from $1.12 billion a year ago.

• CVS reported that its February sales increased 22.5 percent to $3.8 billion, compared to $3.1 billion in the prior year period. Same-store sales were up seven percent for the period.

• Dollar Tree Stores reported that its Q4 net income rose to $97.6 million, from $86.5 million a year earlier. Quarterly sales increased more than 22 percent to $1.32 billion.
