Mark Baum, executive vice president of the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA), has announced that he will leave the trade association at the end of the year to become a partner in DiamondCluster, a Chicago-based technology consulting firm.
Baum formerly was president/CEO of the Association of Sales & Marketing Companies, which merged with GMA in 2001.
The announcement of Baum’s imminent departure comes as reports emerge about GMA negotiating a possible merger with the Food Products Association (FPA).
