- Delhaize America reported second quarter net income of $69.8 million, down from $86.2 million during the same period a year ago. Sales reached $4.1 billion for the quarter, up from $4 billion a year ago.
The company attributed the drop in net income to the cost associated with renovations taking place in its Food Lion and Kash n’ Karry divisions.
