The Grocery Manufacturers of America (GMA) has elected Hershey CEO Richard Lenny as its chairman for a two-year term, succeeding James Kilts, CEO of Gillette. Lenny will serve a two-year term.
Also elected to the board for one-year terms were Kraft CEO Roger Deromedi, Dean Foods CEO Gregg Engles, and Wrigley CEO William Wrigley Jr.
The elections were announced at GMA’s annual conference at the Greenbrier in West Virginia, where the organization also honored IGA chairman/CEO Thomas Haggai by giving him its 2005 Hall of Achievement Award.
