  • A new report suggests that $16.7 billion has been spent in e-commerce during the firs six weeks of the 2004 holiday season, up 28 percent from the $13 billion spent during the same period a year ago.

    Music sales were up 33 percent; video, DVD and jewelry sales were up 32 percent; book sales were up 27 percent; and toys/video games were up 22 percent.

    The eSpending report was published by Goldman, Sachs, Harris Interactive, and Nielsen NetRatings.
