  • Published reports say that Wal-Mart’s e-commerce site crashed yesterday and went offline for close to an hour. It was the such online breakdown in a week – reportedly had a more serious breakdown on Monday. Both sites are now up and running.

  • has announced that its UK operations will begin offering a Netflix-style DVD rental service, a move that is expected to eventually be expanded to include the US market.
