  • Target Corp. reported that November sales rose 9.0 percent to $4.20 billion, from $3.86 billion during the same month a year ago. Same-store sales were up 3.2 percent.

  • Pathmark reported a third quarter loss of $3.6 million, compared to a $200,000 loss during the same period a year ago, and management confirmed an earlier report that the company was looking to be acquired.

  • Walgreen Co. reported that its November sales grew 15.2 percent to $3.37 billion.

  • Longs Drug Stores Corporation reported preliminary total sales of $348.7 million for the four-week period ended November 25, 2004, a 1.4 percent decrease from sales of $353.8 million in the comparable period a year ago. Pharmacy sales were 48.1 percent of total drug store sales compared with 46.4 percent a year ago. Same-store sales were off two percent for the period.
