Following on the heels of the likes of Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts has decided to introduce a rechargeable card that allows consumers to buy versions ranging from $5 to $100, and then recharge it at retail locations.

“Dunkin' Donuts recognizes that today's consumer is looking for cashless alternatives for almost every purchase, no matter how small,” said John Gilbert, Dunkin' Donuts vp-marketing. “By offering the Dunkin' Donuts Card and credit cards as payment options, we are providing our customers greater convenience and flexibility while building customer loyalty.”

After all, we already have two of them from Starbucks and one from Borders in our wallet. What more do we need?
