The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Krispy Kreme, the doughnut company, is suing Krispy Kream, an ice cream stand, for stealing its name.

The husband and wife who own Krispy Kream say that they don’t sell doughnuts, spell the name differently, have been doing business without any confusion for more than two decades.

But Krispy Kreme says it has to protect its trademark.

Hey, if Krispy Kreme doesn’t get its financial house in order, maybe the folks at Krispy Kream can sue them for ruining a perfectly good name.
