The commercial arm of the diet empire founded by the late Dr. Robert Atkins is laying off workers in the face of declining interest in the low-carb trend.

The Associated Press reports that the company employs 370 people, but is not saying what percentage will be laid off. Management says that it plans to outsource some functions.

There also are reports that the company is considering a reduction in the number of SKUs it sells.
