PepsiCo reportedly has accelerated launch plans for its mid-calorie cola, Pepsi Edge, so that it appears on store shelves by June 2, instead of early August as originally intended.

The move was made after Coca-Cola announced that its version, Coca-Cola C2, would hit shelves on June 16.

Both products have half the calories of the regular versions, though more than the diet varieties.
KC's View:
Both companies better have these new products being sampled at the FMI Show next week…because we’re looking forward to finding out what all the fuss is about.
