The Coca-Cola Co. announced yesterday that it will bring out Coca-Cola C2 – a mid-calorie soft drink with more calories than Diet Coke and fewer than Classic Coke – this summer, first in Japan and then in the US.

PepsiCo already has announced that it will bring out its Pepsi Edge mid-calorie soda this summer.
KC's View:
Since we drink diet sodas, it us hard for us to imagine the market for this segment…after all, it seems like you’d either have the full-calorie/carb version or not.

But we’re probably wrong on this one.
