The Associated Press reports that a new study by the university of California suggests that a strict, low-calorie diet can help you live longer.

The study revealed that mice put on such a diet had a 40 percent longer life span. And it even seemed to apply to aging mice - when these older rodents changed their diets, they managed to extend their lives as well.
