  • Procter & Gamble has launched HealthExpressions, an Internet website designed to provide the same kind of information to consumers as a health-related consumer magazine. The site currently is sponsored by nine P&G brands, including Crest, Metamucil and Nyquil.

The endeavor is similar to P&G's HomeMadeSimple.com site, which has home-and-family-related related info and has generated an email list for its newspaper of four million people.

  • Brand Keys, a research consultancy, released a study saying that when Martha Stewart was convicted and resigned from the company that bears her name, it actually has improved the prospects of Martha Stewart Omnimedia.

The consultancy said Stewart's consumer loyalty index score rose from 64 to 86 after her resignation, which bodes well for the possibility that Stewart's brand could survive and transcend her legal troubles.
