- Starbucks Corp. named former Reebok International Ltd. executive Martin Coles to head its international unit beginning in mid-April. He replaces Peter Maslen, who resigned from Starbucks last June for health reasons.
Starbucks has more than 7,500 cafes around the world, including 2,200 outside the United States. The company has said that its goal is to eventually have 25,000 units, with 15,000 overseas.
- Delhaize Group announced that Georges Jacobs will succeed Gui de Vaucleroy, who has reached the mandatory retirement age of 70, as chairman of the company.
