Beverly Hills-based Pure Foods, a company that operates two low-carb food stores in Southern California, is planning to roll out a line of vending machines that specialize in low carbohydrate foods.

The machines are likely to carry items such as Atkins bars and shakes as well as other low-carb items. Pure Foods says that it is negotiating with a hotel chain to put in 480 machines in 60 locations, estimating that they could generate $4.2 million in sales the first year.
