Dutch supermarket giant Royal Ahold denied a report that it delayed disclosing accounting irregularities by six weeks a year ago. The company said it is cooperating with investigations into the billion-dollar accounting scandal that has plagued its operations for more than a year.

Must be tough for Ahold. These days, based on its recent history, it is hard not to assume that it is guilty until proven innocent.
