The Evansville Courier & Press reports that McDonald's has decided to convert six area "Diner Inside" restaurants - which have a 1950s-style decor and a sit-down menu that includes meatloaf, chicken-fried steaks, and mashed potatoes as well as the standard McDonald's menu - back to its traditional Golden Arches format.

However, the company said it wasn't abandoning the format, and will keep testing the format in four other locations.
